New EDDIE VAN HALEN Photos Shared By His Son WOLFGANG

October 24, 2019

Wolfgang Van Halen has uploaded new photos of his father, legendary VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen.

Earlier today, Wolfgang took to his Instagram to upload four selfies of him, his mother — Eddie's ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli — and the iconic axeman.

The 28-year-old wrote in an accompanying caption: "Family"

Bertinelli split with the 64-year old rocker in 2002 after 21 years of marriage. They officially divorced in 2007. Eddie then went on to marry Janie Liszewski in 2009.

"One of the many reasons that Ed and I split up is to give Wolfie a better vision of what two people who are supposedly in love treat each other like," Valerie told Oprah.com. "Ed and I weren't treating each other like two people that loved each other, and that's what Wolfie was seeing. So I'm hoping that when he does get married and start a life for himself, that he takes his time and marries a friend and not just someone that he can't keep his hands off."

Valerie went on to say that leaving Eddie wasn't an easy choice. "We were all very raw from 9/11, and you heard all these stories of people coming together," she said. "They hated each other and they were back together and divorces weren't happening anymore. And I'm like, 'Am I the only one in the world that wants out now because of 9/11? I'm not going to live my life if it's that tenuous. That's not how I want to live my life anymore.'"

There have been a lot of rumors regarding the VAN HALEN guitarist's supposedly worsening health, including a recent report from TMZ stating he is battling throat cancer. According to the gossip site's story, Van Halen has been traveling between the U.S. and Germany for treatment going on several years now. The site later said that "the sad medical news had some folks thinking Eddie was on his death bed ... but we're told that's anything but the case."

As previously reported, Eddie stopped by a McLaren dealership in Beverly Hills on Saturday and mingled with the sales team, taking pictures and even giving one fan a kiss.

A rep for Van Halen had no comment on TMZ's initial report when reached by Fox News.

Earlier this year, rumors were rampant that the classic-era lineup of VAN HALEN would reunite for the first time since 1984. It's unclear why the tour didn't happen, though there has been online chatter that a health setback involving Eddie Van Halen might have been responsible.

VAN HALEN has been inactive since it completed its U.S. tour in October 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
